American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Flushing follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A great little Argentinian bakery in the middle of Queens. Many delicious treats and sweets to choose from and great sandwiches and meat pies. The staff is very helpful in figuring out what each item is. Will definitely be back π

I have been going to Rio De La Plata for 25 years. It was a ritual to stop by every Saturday to pick up our Argentine delicacies. It is a travesty how terrible it has become. The sandwiches de miga are not fresh and slightly sour, indicating a product that has been sitting there for too long. Their empanadas were also past their sell by date. The selection of facturas and masas finas has decreased as of late. Of course, when the quality of your product is inferior, your clients stop coming. Itβs so sad to see what this bakery has become.

How come I never came to this place before while I lived in New York for the past 24 years ??? But now that I moved to Corona, I walked to this bakery, at least two times a week to enjoy the pastries, Empanadas in good coffee!! Cristian always greet me with happiness and welcoming, as well the ladies behind the counter. Gracias chicas, Tucu-Tucu y Mitchel ππ₯°π

I absolutely love this bakery!! They have so many high quality Argentinian foods here. I got a variety of facturas, alfajores, pizza, sandwiches de miga, empanadas and more. Absolutely everything is made fresh and with love. The staff are so friendly too. Don't hesitate to go! I'll be back often.
